Rec The Contents Of Your Last Page. Any website that you like, be it fanfiction, art, social media, or something a bit more eccentric!

The last page I had up was the Neocities editor for my tropes page for my paracosm, something I've been meaning to do for ages but procrastinated on getting started on because it's going to take foreverrr.

So for this challenge, I'm going to recommend my Neocities site, pine island and the small/indie/old web revival. It's so fun to make your own site and browse others'. All of my sites have links pages like this because so much of the fun is exploring.

You can host your site (for free without ads!) on Neocities, Nekoweb or Marigold Town and there are templates on eggramen, itinerae, and Fool Lovers (日本語) to get you started. (I also have resource sections on all my projects.) There's a huge resources page on 32bit café with anything you could possibly need for webweaving.

There's a smallweb community on Dreamwidth for technical help and emotional support, too!

thank you!!! >:D to be fair i dont either haha (my last actual crush was when i was like 12, and i dont think wanting to put one of my favourite characters through a metaphorical meat grinder to make him suffer and be in agony counts)

its why i dont self ship technically, and live it more through my blorbo OC going through it :P more fun to explore it not through yourself (for me)

The small web revival makes me so happy. I'm relearning coding as part of my personal curriculum this year and I've tasked myself with making a website as a "final project", so I'm looking forward to becoming part of that revival. Thank you for these resources! Your site is so cute too! :D

Definitely share your site when you're ready, but don't feel like it needs to be "done" before you do! I love that so many people post WIP sites and tinker with it forever instead of creating a final, "finished" site and leaving it like that.

Oh, for sure! I decided to give myself a deadline for getting it up because I know I'll just put it off otherwise but I'm not really holding myself to any standards besides "functional"! And I've not decided on the topic(s) yet but I'm expecting it to be something I update at least occasionally regardless.

Ooh I love the look of your website!! I need to post some updates to my neocities sometime soon. (The code is ready but the pages aren't live.) Your layout is so lovely and theres some neat sites you've linked on there I havent seen yet. :D Excited to dig around some more!

your site is so cute and gives me such nostalgia feels. i coded little personal sites by hand back in the day (altho i did use dreamweaver because i got into frames and doing that by hand was such a giant pain) and on the one hand i can't believe i ever did that and on the other i love so much that people are going back to those kinds of sites. neocities was never my thing but i would link-hop and browse people's sites and admire their layouts and graphics and how deep they got into their particular interests. it was fun and your site reminds me of that. absolutely a++.

Right, it's wild that a bunch of tween-/teen- agers were just… hand coding websites? but yeah, frames were such a pain. I could never get them to work right, so I was more of an iframe girlie.
